What a Weekend!

Have I had a weekend or what! it started early Friday morning when everything including mummy and her friend was bundled into the car. I didn't mind as it usually means we're up to some fun and I wasn't wrong. We spent ages in the car and when I got out everything was very odd, it looked like we should be at big horsey event as we were in a huge park but there were loads and loads of young people there. It looked like it could be fun but no sooner had we arrived we were off again. But mummy and her friend wasn't in the car, I shouted at granny that she'd left them behind but no one seemed to care. Apparently it turns out we were supposed to leave them behind. They were going to spend the weekend trudging about in mud and listening to music, everyone to thier own I suppose.

So off we went and guess what we went to Dashing Dogs a big Agility show near Chester. We didn't run any classes on Friday. So I had a good run in the exercise area then we went off to find the Bed and Breakfast. It was a real nice place Jackie and Brian looked after us really well and I made some nice new friends, and guess what I met Lola who I think would run as quick as I can, she was crazy but good fun. I liked it all, everyone made it a really nice weekend, granny and Mikey had a really good time so thanks guys.

But now the real stuff back to the competion. Did I do well, you bet. Day one didn't start to well I missed a contact and granny couldn't tell her left from her right and thougth I'd gone in the wrong side of the weaves and pulled me out, I was right so I guess that makes us equal. But the day ended really good with a clear round and a second. Day 2 loomed the sun was shining and I was ready to run. After a bit of a shakey start we finished the day with a 3rd and.......I won.....wooopeee dooooo. I'm a grade 2 dog. Oh no, just thought, better get granny to buy the cakes for the rest of my training budies. The day finished with a visit to the sea side, I love the beach. When we got back to the B&B we had a really good night but I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open, even when my new friends wanted me to play. I did managed to stir the cat a bit, well what can I say us Jack Russells have a reputation to uphold.

So all competed out Monday morning we headed back to the big park, something called the V Festivsal to pick up mummy and Katie and all thier stuff then back on the road and head for home. For the first 10 minutes granny talked and talked then it all went quiet and we slept all the way home.

Heres a few pics from the weekend, but guess what Mikey didn't video the winning round but never mind he was so pleased I'd won he got all emotional, he kept rubbing his eyes.

Kennel Club International

Friday saw us off in the car for a long trip. We seemed to be travelling for ever but it was worth it when we got there. We went all the way to Northamptonshire for an Agility competition. But it was worth going. We started off with the Starters Cup. I guess you can say it didn't go as well as it might. I knocked 2 poles down in the jumping, and missed the weave entry in the agility but I got my contacts and granny seemed pleased. I wasn't too keen on the man standing right next to the contacts I thought he was going to shout at me but he didn't so it wasn't too bad. We don't get to go to London but I didn't want to go anyway all that polution and noise.

It then started to rain and I hate rain so granny put me in the car for a sleep. I pulled the blanket over my head and settled down for a long snooze. Next thing I knew they're were back trying hard to encourage me from my favourite place, not a chance, it was still raining! but in the end I got out of the car. The next round was a jumping course which I like the best and this one seemed ok. But there was a problem the rain. So I decided to go quick and get it over with, and I went clear, woohoo in the placings I came 4th which granny was very happy with.

But what was best of all is I saw my best friend Lucy. I heard her shouting me so I pulled and pulled until granny let me go Iran like mad and launched up onto her arms. She said to granny she needed to have a go on a stand to win some dog food and do you know what she won a huge bag and Mikey won a liitle bag so it was worth going just for the yum yum.

Mikey also bought me a new toy, its great fun you put treats in the little holes and all I have to do is find them, easy. I'll get granny to video me showing you how easy it is.

Seems like we're off again next weekend but this time we're going right the way across the county to Dashing Dogs. This is so granny can be near mummy who's going to something called a festival. I can't wait bring it on!!

Dog Vegas weekend

Well everything started well. Thursday training was really good although I was a bit naughty to start with I did some really good stuff. Lucy let me stay and join in with the top dogs which was reall good fun. They do some tricky stuff but I managed most of it without much help. There was even one turn that the big dogs couldn't do but I could. Everyone was amazed, what they didn't know is the when we trained with that man with the funny bark (I think they called him Kenny) we trained this turn and we've practiced it down the field so I knew exactly what to do. I also did some really fast contacts, Mikey came and he was amazed how fast I was.
So Friday came and based on the night before we should have had done really well but granny didn't count on the fact that I have a mind of my own. I had a ball running around like a mad thing. 4 E's oops!
Saturday was a bit better. I had had a good talking to whatever that means, even mummy said I had to behave so I did try. But it just didn't work, I kept knocking down the poles and missing the contacts. 3 e's and a 20 faulter.
On Sunday mummy came with us. She hasn't been for ages and I wanted to show her what I could do, and at times it was really good. Lots of people said I would be really good when it came together. I just kept knocking down the poles, my times when I stayed on course where faster then all the winners.
I guess you can't win em all it just wasn't my weekend, but we had great fun and thats all that really matters. Bring on the next one.
